Happy Sunday! I can't believe the weekend is almost over. The weather has been pretty hot in Houston, except for a few chilly days here and there. Spring in Houston is very short lived but luckily i was able to wear this super casual jean jacket twice! Luckily, I was able to wear this super casual jean jacket at twice this spring, because spring in Houston is very short lived! I always have to maximize my opportunities with spring jackets and try to wear them all in that one week where the weather is actually chilly enough before the heat front kicks in!
One of the main things I love about denim jackets is the fact that you can pretty much wear it with anything. You can pair it with jeans, dresses, skirts, shorts, etc. Jean jackets never really go out of style and it is definitely a staple in my closet. I grew up wearing jean jackets and tying jackets around my waist so this outfit brought back a lot of childhood memories for me. I wore jean jackets (especially ones with the patches and embroidery) as a child!
Another classic staple in my closet is a pair (or three) of white jeans. They are so versatile and can be worn in any season! White jeans make an outfit pop and you can dress it up or down anyway you want it. I chose to pair one of my newest white jeans with a plain grey tee and a jean jacket for the perfect spring day outfit.
I chose to pair these this outfit with another spring/summer favorite: the chunky heel sandal. I am beyond obsessed with chunky heels because they are sooo comfortable and I can wear them all day long without having to change my shoes. I got this pair of sandals last summer and they are definitely one of my go to shoes for spring and summer.
