70's

There’s no way to avoid the 70’s trend that has taken the fashion world by storm this spring. One of my favorite 70’s trends (besides fringe, of course) is suede. I have always been a fan of suede and faux suede and I am very excited that it made a comeback! I absolutely love this faux suede flare skirt from H&M because it gives the perfect 70’s vibe. The 70’s color pallet was dominated by earth tones such as various shades of brown, yellow, mustard, and teal. The skirt’s dark beige color is spot on with the color trend and the gold buttons add a perfect retro vibe.  I do have to say that this skirt runs a bit small, maybe because women in the 70’s had really tiny waists?

I chose to pair this skirt with a white lace top. I really like how the white compliments the camel color of the skirt.  This top is very comfortable and is perfect for the summer months.  You can pair this skirt with a crop top or a long sleeve knitted top.

I decided to wear off-white sandals with this outfit in order to stick with the neutral theme and to keep the focus of the outfit on the skirt.
