Happy Tuesday and Happy 2016! This was supposed to be the last blog of 2015 not the first blog post of 2016; however I received some pretty terrible news at the end of 2015 and I needed time off to process the situation. Although it will still take me some time to get back to normal, I have taken enough time off to let the information sink in and now I am ready to tackle 2016! I hope everyone else had a fabulous end to 2015 and a wonderful start to 2016. I initially had a lot of plans for 2016 and they are still intact but the timeline of my goals/plans are probably going to shift and maybe that’s for the best. My main goals this year are to get into complete my GMAT, get into the grad school of my choice, spend more time blogging, spend more time with my family, and travel. I am mainly looking for a change in my life and this year is going to be the catalyst for that change, or I sure hope it will be!
I wore this outfit over a month ago now when the weather was a bit colder. I have never really liked ponchos, however I loved the pattern and color of this one so I decided to give it a try! The material is very soft and not itchy at all! One thing I am so wary about when purchasing sweaters is the material because my skin is very sensitive and most wool or mohair sweaters really irritate my skin! I love the fact that this sweater is super soft and even if it has any traces of wool, it is minimal enough to not irritate my skin. I also love wearing grey on grey for winter!
I also invested in a good pair of black boots (not that I needed a new pair) a few months ago! I found these Vince boots on sale at Gilt and I immediately fell in love. I accidently ordered the brown ones first and by the time I got the shoes in the mail, the black ones were already sold out! I was super bummed but I kept a look out for these boots and eventually the black ones came back in stock! These boots are so easy to walk in because of the wedge heel and pretty much go with everything.
