Monochrome

I can’t believe Labor Day weekend is almost over! I could use about 5 more days of vacation. I have recently been purchasing a lot of clothing that is white. I don’t know why but I usually don’t opt for white clothes since I can’t seem to keep them clean, and my go to color for clothes is black. White and black is also one of my favorite color combinations because it is timeless, it will never look bad, and pretty much works in any situation! I bought this vest over two months ago from Mango and I didn’t receive it until a month after I purchased it but it was definitely worth the wait. I love the oversized look of the vest, which definitely adds more of a relaxed feel. At first I was kind of skeptical about this vest as it looked really big online and I wasn’t sure if the smallest size would still look big on me. However, the vest is perfectly oversized!  I also recently purchased a black vest (surprise surprise) after I got the white one because everyone needs a black and white vest in their life right?

I decided to keep the shorts and top minimal in this outfit so the highlight would be the vest. The bottoms are just your average high waited shorts and the top is just a super clean and simple crop. The shoes however are one of my favorites for two reasons: I love the cutouts and I have worn them for years and they still haven’t fallen apart.  You can pair this vest with denim shorts as well and slip-on sneakers for a daytime and more casual look.
